Pettole Festival

The 31st edition of the Pettole Festival took place on Friday, December 26, 2025, St. Stephen's Day, starting at 6:30 PM in Piazza Umberto I in Castelluccio Valmaggiore (FG). Around a large bonfire, the public enjoyed hot pettole, the traditional leavened dough fritters, accompanied by wine and live music with entertainment throughout the evening.

Promoted by the Pro Loco and the Municipality of Castelluccio Valmaggiore, the event confirmed its spirit of solidarity: as every year, volunteers from local associations and the Civil Service delivered pettole to the homes of the elderly in the village who were unable to reach the square. The event attracted visitors from across the Capitanata, renewing a thirty-year tradition linked to the Christmas festivities of the Monti Dauni.
