Carnival in the Venetian Fortress

The Peschiera del Garda Carnival is one of the most colorful festivals on the Veronese side of the lake. It takes place in the heart of the town, enclosed by the famous Venetian fortified walls, a UNESCO heritage site, and revolves around the grand parade of allegorical floats, a true spectacle of creativity and popular tradition.

The Parade and Route

The gathering of masked participants takes place in the afternoon in Via Parco Catullo, from where the parade starts, winding along a ring route through the streets of the center: Ponte San Giovanni, Riviera Carducci, Via Risorgimento, Via Milano, Via Verdi, and Lungolago Mazzini, until it concludes at the Central Port, the pulsating heart of the festivities. Hundreds of costumed participants accompany the floats amidst music and choreography.

A Celebration for All Ages

Confetti and streamers for children, the energy of the choreography and the spectacular costumes for adults: the Peschiera Carnival is designed to involve all generations. The organization is managed by the Coordinamento Gruppi Carnevaleschi della Provincia di Verona (Coordination of Carnival Groups of the Province of Verona), which brings together the masked groups of the territory.

The Carnival is an opportunity to experience the historic center on one of its most festive days, within the walls and on the shores of the lake.
