A multidisciplinary festival featuring cinema, dance, music, and art in Polignano a Mare

PerSe Visioni – Art Factory is one of the most original cultural experiences in the Apulian summer. Born from the energy of the Bachi da Setola Association, active in the southeastern Bari area since 2007, the festival transforms Polignano a Mare every year into a factory of visions where cinema, dance, experimental music, visual arts, and civic participation meet and influence one another.
PerSe Visioni does not offer a traditional program, but rather a true artistic workshop, structured into several synergistic moments that coexist during the same week. Alongside the evenings open to the public, the festival develops training paths, residencies, and workshops involving both Italian and international artists. The festival has always intertwined the aesthetic dimension with the ethical one, dedicating space to themes of legality, memory, and social commitment.
The Live Xp evenings, hosted primarily at the Pino Pascali Foundation, feature screenings of international documentaries and short films, meetings with authors and directors, dance performances, and concerts ranging from reggae to funk, soul, and Afrobeat sounds. Over the years, the festival has hosted choreographers, filmmakers, curators, and musicians who engage with the audience in an informal and participatory atmosphere, often just steps away from the sea.
Rooted in the community of Polignano a Mare, PerSe Visioni has become a benchmark for the independent artistic scene in Puglia over the years. The event is supported by local institutions and organizations, including the Puglia Region, the Municipality of Polignano a Mare, Puglia Culture, and the Apulia Film Commission, in collaboration with the Pino Pascali Foundation and Libera against the mafias. Admission to the evenings is traditionally free, confirming the popular and inclusive nature of the project.
The festival moves between different locations in the city: from the Pino Pascali Foundation to the Sarnelli-De Donato Institute Auditorium, from the town squares to the association's own spaces. This widespread nature allows visitors to experience Polignano a Mare in a unique way, amidst contemporary art, live performances, and the beauty of the Apulian coastal landscape.
Details for the 2026 edition of PerSe Visioni – Art Factory in Polignano a Mare are not yet available. The dates and the full program will be communicated by the Bachi da Setola Association in the weeks leading up to the event, as has been the case in previous editions typically held in the second half of August. It is recommended to follow the official channels of the event for updates.
