The 2025 edition of the Peregrinatio of the Icon of Maria SS. di Casaluce confirmed the vitality of one of the most deeply rooted Marian devotions in the Aversa area. From June 15, the sacred Byzantine icon, having arrived in Aversa from nearby Casaluce, traveled through the city parishes, accompanied by processions, Holy Masses, and communal moments of prayer.
As per the tradition established by the 1857 agreement, the image remained for four months in Aversa, kept in the Church of Santi Filippo e Giacomo, before returning on October 15 to the Sanctuary of Casaluce, greeted by festivities and fireworks. An edition that reaffirmed the identity value of this intangible heritage of Campania.
