Perdono del Gargano 2025

In 2025, the penitential pilgrimage once again united the Basilica of Saint Michael the Archangel in Monte Sant'Angelo and the Shrine of Padre Pio in San Giovanni Rotondo, along a route of approximately 26 kilometers. The day of June 30 opened with the departure of shuttles from Piazzale Forgione at 1:00 PM and Holy Mass in Monte Sant'Angelo, presided over by Archbishop Monsignor Franco Moscone. In the evening, pilgrims arrived in San Giovanni Rotondo: welcome in Piazza Martiri around 11:00 PM, procession toward the Church of Our Lady of Grace, and opening of the Holy Door at midnight.

The closing Eucharistic concelebration on July 1, at 11:30 AM, was presided over by Monsignor Corrado Lorefice, Metropolitan Archbishop of Palermo. The event, promoted by the Friars Minor Capuchin of the Shrine of Padre Pio, confirmed the strong appeal to young people and the faithful in the heart of the Gargano, in Puglia.
