Edition 2025 — Pecora alla Callara Festival
The 2025 edition of the Pecora alla Callara Festival was held from August 8 to 12 in the Via C. Franchi pine forest in Villa Rosa, a district of Martinsicuro (TE). As per tradition, for five consecutive evenings, the food stalls of the Pro Loco of Villa Rosa served mutton cooked in copper cauldrons, along with pasta dishes, fried dough, arrosticini, and other specialties, with opening times from 7:30 PM. The festival was part of the rich summer calendar of the Municipality of Martinsicuro, ranking among the most popular culinary events of the Abruzzo summer, confirming the town's connection to the pastoral cuisine of the hinterland.
