Edition 2025 — Peasant Festival

In 2025, the Peasant Festival of Verolavecchia was held in May at Villa Alghisi Montini, confirming the format dedicated to the Brescian spit roast and the rural traditions of the town. Spit roast competition, farming tools, traditional dessert competition, old-fashioned games, and folk music enlivened the residence that was the summer home of Pope Paul VI.

The 2025 edition of the Peasant Festival brought the community of Verolavecchia to Villa Alghisi Montini for a day dedicated to peasant traditions. The spit roast competition, which started early in the morning, saw teams compete before a jury; alongside, there was an exhibition of old farming tools, the traditional dessert competition, and in the afternoon, old-fashioned games with folk music. An event organized by the Pro Loco of Verolavecchia in the Bassa Bresciana.
