Edition 2025 — Peasant Culture Festival

In 2025, the Peasant Culture Festival in Ruviano spanned four days, from July 31 to August 3, with a particularly rich International Folklore Festival. Alongside the peasant re-enactments and food stands in Piazza Nuova, folk music and dance groups from Mexico, Slovakia, and Bulgaria performed as part of the Sannio Mondialfolk review, together with Italian ensembles like Araneis and I Guarracini.

Four days of folklore and memory

The 2025 edition opened on Thursday, July 31, with the gathering and parade of agricultural machinery, the Antonio Coppola Memorial, the Eucharistic celebration, and a concert by a Nomadi tribute band. Friday, August 1, after the guided tour of the San Domenico district, featured the official inauguration and a concert by the ethno-folk group Araneis; food stands animated Piazza Nuova.

The International Folklore Festival

Saturday, August 2, following the guided tour of the Alvignanello hamlet, the Sannio Mondial Folk review took place with guest groups from Mexico and Slovakia. Sunday, August 3, marked the grand finale, with a group from Bulgaria, the national group from Isernia, and I Guarracini, presented by Francesco Vitulano.

The event was organized by the Pro Loco Raiano led by Pasquale Di Meo, together with UNPLI Caserta, CSI Alvignanello, and Sannio Mondialfolk, with the support of the European Union and the Ministry of Culture, and the patronage of the Municipality of Ruviano.
