Edition 2025 — Paul Thorel Prize at MACRO
«Spettri Digitali» — 2nd Edition 2025
The second edition of the Paul Thorel Prize gave life to the exhibition «Spettri Digitali», presented from May 30 to July 14, 2025, at the Museo Madre in Naples. The project, curated by Sara Dolfi Agostini, brought together works by the winners — the collective Alterazioni Video, the duo Eva & Franco Mattes, and Anna Franceschini — created during their artistic residency at the Paul Thorel Studio/Archive in the Chiaia district of Naples.
By reactivating the tools and technologies of the electronic image pioneer who passed away in 2020, the exhibition explored the relationship between memory, technology, and digital imagery, confirming the prize's role as a platform for contemporary artistic research. This edition preceded the «Le imperfezioni» exhibition, hosted in the summer of 2026 at MACRO in Rome.
