Edition 2025 — Festival of Saint John

In 2025, Canale d'Agordo celebrated the patronal festival of Saint John the Baptist around June 24th, with a traditional market, food stalls, dancing, a carousel, and a charity tombola in Piazza Papa Luciani. A community celebration cherished since the 18th century in the birthplace of Pope John Paul I, in the Val del Biois.

The 2025 edition of the Festival of Saint John the Baptist renewed in Canale d'Agordo a tradition dating back to the 18th century. Around June 24th, the traditional market enlivened the village streets and Piazza Papa Luciani hosted food stalls, dancing, a carousel, and the charity tombola for the benefit of the parish kindergarten. Organized by the Pro Loco of Canale d'Agordo together with the sports club and the Municipality, the festival confirmed its identity value for the community of the Val del Biois, in the province of Belluno.
