Edition 2025 — Patrons of Trapani

From August 1st to 16th, 2025, Trapani celebrated its patrons with two weeks of faith and devotion. On August 6th, the silver bust of Sant'Alberto was transferred from the Sanctuary to the Cathedral; on August 7th, the saint's feast day featured the blessing of the water and an evening procession. For the Madonna di Trapani, the "Marian Night" and sea procession took place on August 13th, followed by the pilgrimage on the 15th and the grand city procession on August 16th, concluding with traditional fireworks.

2025 Edition

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast opened on August 1st with the novena to the Madonna di Trapani. On August 6th, at 8:00 PM, the silver bust of Sant'Alberto was transported on the traditional cart from the Santuario dell'Annunziata to the Cathedral of San Lorenzo. On August 7th, the patron saint's feast day, the day began with the parade of the "Trinacria" Trapanese Drummers at 9:30 AM and the 11:00 AM Eucharistic celebration with the blessing of the water of Sant'Alberto and the kissing of the relic; in the evening, at 8:45 PM, the procession of the statue through the historic center took place.

For the Madonna di Trapani, the "Marian Night" with the sea procession at the fishing port was held on August 13th; on August 15th, at dawn, the pilgrimage on foot from the Cathedral to the Sanctuary was led by the bishop. On August 16th, at 8:45 PM, the solemn procession of the Madonna crossed Corso Vittorio Emanuele and the streets of the center, concluding with the traditional fireworks that closed the Trapanese Ferragosto.
