Patronal Feast of the Madonna dei Sette Veli (Iconavetere)

In March 2025, the patronal feast of the Madonna dei Sette Veli confirmed its role as a key identity event for the municipality of Foggia and the entire Capitanata region. The celebrations, which culminated on March 22, brought together the faithful and devotees around the Sacred Table of the Iconavetere, kept in the Cathedral Basilica.

As per tradition, the program combined the religious dimension with civic and cultural aspects, with solemn holy masses presided over by the Archbishop and the involvement of the city community. The recurrence reaffirmed the deep bond between Foggia and its patron saint, symbolized by the three flames present on the city's coat of arms.
