Patronal Feast of SS. Flavio and Faustina

How it went in 2025

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast was held on Wednesday, May 7th, and Thursday, May 8th, in Grotte di Castro, organized by the Pro Loco, the Parish, and the Municipality. May 7th, dedicated to Saint Flavio the Martyr, opened at 7:30 AM in the Basilica Sanctuary with mass and the display of the reliquary bust; at 11:30 AM, the solemn mass with the singing of the Schola Cantorum; at 5:30 PM, the procession from Via della Fratta to Via del Santuario with the "Città di Grotte di Castro" Historical Pageant and the brass band.

From 7:00 PM in Piazza Cavour, the wait for the fireworks was animated by the musical duo "Mauro e Luca", with porchetta sandwiches offered by the Pro Loco; at 9:00 PM, the Saint Flavio lottery draw, and at 10:30 PM, at the municipal stadium, the fireworks display managed by the Colonnelli company of Nepi.

May 8th, the day of Saint Faustina, began at 7:30 AM with solemn mass and the transport of the reliquary bust to the Oratory of Santa Croce; at 8:00 AM, the traditional May 8th Fair began; at 11:00 AM, solemn mass in the parish church of San Pietro Apostolo with the supplication to the Madonna of the Rosary of Pompeii, and at 5:30 PM, vespers.
