Edition 2025 — San Paolo della Croce Feast
2025 Edition
In 2025, the community of Corviale, in Rome, celebrated the feast of its patron saint San Paolo della Croce on the weekend surrounding October 17th, the day of the liturgical commemoration of the Passionist founder.
The garden of the Via Poggio Verde parish transformed into an open-air square for the occasion: games for children organized by parish groups, live music, dances, and performances alternated on stage, while volunteers managed the kitchen and stalls, where the scent of grilled arrosticini accompanied every evening.
The entertainment featured contributions from the Fabula Folk group, the young people of the Teatro San Girolamo, the youth band from the San Gregorio Magno parish, and musicians Simone Battilocchi, Francesco Melchiorri, and Francesca Battilocchi, with hosting duties handled by Fabio Cruciani. The Sunday concluded with a dance evening that brought the neighborhood together.
As per tradition, the most solemn moment remained the procession with the statue of the patron saint through the streets of Corviale, followed by the main mass: an edition that confirmed the character of the festival, built entirely by the work of the parish community volunteers.
