Patronal Feast of San Francesco de Geronimo

The 2025 Patronal Feast was marked by the novena that began on August 29 at the Mother Church of Maria SS. Annunziata, with evening celebrations led by various priests from the Archdiocese of Taranto, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the arrival of the saint's remains in Grottaglie (August 26, 1945).

On Saturday, September 6, the day opened with a 7:00 PM Eucharistic celebration, followed at 8:30 PM by a concert in Piazza San Francesco de Geronimo featuring "Revival Gruppo 2000" and "Briganti del Duca," and at 10:00 PM by a musical evening in Piazza Regina Margherita. On Sunday, September 7, after the morning masses and the solemn afternoon concelebration led by the Archbishop of Taranto, Ciro Miniero, the procession took place through the historic center with the "Città di Grottaglie" band, concluding in the evening with the show "Lucio&Lucio - a tribute to Lucio Battisti and Lucio Dalla."
