Patronal Feast of Saints Quirico and Giulitta

The patronal feast of Saints Quirico and Giulitta in Sante Marie, in the Marsica region, was held on Saturday, July 21, 2025, with intense popular participation. In the morning, the community gathered for mass at the church of Santa Maria delle Grazie, followed by a procession through the village streets accompanied by the marching band, in an atmosphere of deep devotion.

At the end, the town's ancient identity-defining rite was renewed: the family that had hosted the statue of Saint Quirico for a year returned it to the mother church and, after the parish priest's blessing, handed it over to the new host family, accompanied by the band. A tradition that once again confirmed the vitality of faith and identity in Sante Marie, with the involvement of the younger generations.
