The celebrations for the patron saint of Barzano in Piazza Mercato
The Patronal Feast of Saint Vitus the Martyr is the event that annually celebrates the patron saint of Barzano, in the province of Lecco. The liturgical anniversary falls on June 15th, and the town's civil and religious celebrations are concentrated around this date.
The heart of the celebrations is Piazza Mercato, which hosts live concerts, award ceremonies, screenings, and tournaments. The program alternates musical evenings with initiatives designed to involve families and young people, in a celebration that combines traditional and convivial dimensions.
The organization is handled by the Pro Loco of Barzano, which builds a calendar of free-entry events each year. The Feast of Saint Vitus is thus an opportunity for the community to come together and for visitors to discover a village in the Lecchese Brianza during its most cherished festival.
The celebrations for the patron saint of Barzano will be held from June 14 to 16, 2026, around the liturgical anniversary of Saint Vitus on June 15th. Piazza Mercato will host a program alternating music, awards, and tournaments.
The schedule includes a concert on Friday evening, the Canonica San Salvatore Award and a screening on Saturday, and tournaments and a rock tribute concert on Sunday. All events, organized by the Pro Loco di Barzano APS, are free to enter.
