Edition 2025 — Saint Vincent and the Focara

On January 22, 2025, Miggiano celebrated the Patronal Feast of Saint Vincent with the usual program of faith and tradition: procession of the patron saint, lighting of the focara in Piazza Municipio, fireworks display, and the Paparina Festival, amidst Salento folk music and tastings of local peasant cuisine.

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint Vincent was held in Miggiano on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. As per tradition, the community of the Salento village paid homage to its patron saint with religious celebrations and a procession through the town streets, accompanied by the Miggiano City Band.

In the evening, in Piazza Municipio, the lighting of the focara and the fireworks display marked the climax of the festival, while the Paparina Festival offered tastings of the typical dish based on wild poppy, along with roasted meat and the notes of Salento folk music.
