Edition 2025 — Saint Roch in Grottole
On August 16, 2025, Grottole celebrated Saint Roch with the morning procession from the church to the castle, the parade of decorated horses, figures in traditional and medieval attire, and evening fireworks, renewing a devotion that has lasted since 1665.
The 2025 edition of the feast took place on August 16th, Saint Roch's day, renewing a tradition alive for over three and a half centuries. Between the solemn Mass, the procession from the church to the castle and through the old village, the parade of decorated horses, the traditional and medieval costumes, and the evening fireworks, Grottole celebrated its patron saint with the usual participation of residents and emigrants.
