From September 10th to 12th, 2025, Castiglione Messer Marino celebrated its Patronal Feast in honor of Saint Raphael the Archangel and Saint Mary of the Mount, announced by the Municipality with the slogan 'Castiglione Messer Marino in celebration'. At the heart of the festivities, on September 11th, was the traditional pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Santa Maria del Monte in the Lupara area, with the statue of the Madonna carried on the shoulders of the local women.
The festival combined moments of intense religious devotion – masses, processions, and the ritual of the votive wheat baskets – with opportunities for conviviality featuring folk music and food stalls dedicated to the flavors of the Vastese, during a late September of great popular participation.
