Edition 2025 — Saint Philip Neri
2025 Edition
The 2025 Patronal Feast of Saint Philip Neri brought the historic center of Roseto Valfortore to life, in the Monti Dauni of the Foggia province, with the usual blend of religious devotion and folk tradition. The village streets, decorated for the occasion, welcomed evening processions with the statues of Saint Philip Neri and the Madonna del Carmine, punctuated by Holy Masses and the sound of church bells.
The highlight was the tossing of bread, cheese, and vegetables from the balconies in Piazza Bartolomeo III di Capua, featuring the characteristic fountain of milk and wine: an identity-defining rite that draws residents, visitors, and returning Roseto emigrants to the town every year. The festival was accompanied by the town band, parish choirs, and musical evenings in the square.
