Patronal Feast of Saint Peter the Apostle

The 2025 Feast of Saint Peter the Apostle in San Pier Niceto, in the province of Messina, was celebrated on June 28th and 29th. The festivities followed the usual pattern, with the liturgical moments of the novena and the solemn procession of the 16th-century statue through the village streets, the most anticipated moment for the faithful. There was no shortage of band music in the square, performances, and the concluding fireworks. An edition that confirmed the strong bond of the San Pier Niceto community with its patron saint and the tradition of the carters.
