Patronal Feast of Saint Peter of the Hermit

The Feast of Saint Peter Celestine V in 2025 renewed the commemoration on May 19th in Sant'Angelo Limosano (CB), dedicated to the hermit pope Peter of Morrone. The day combined religious celebrations with the market fair along Via San Rocco and the devotion linked to the Spring of Saint Peter, whose waters, according to tradition, flow again a few days before the feast. A deeply identity-forming event for this inland Molise village, linked to the figure of Celestine V and the pilgrimage route to L'Aquila.
