Patronal Feast of Saint Nicholas of Bari — Broad Bean Festival

The feast of Saint Nicholas of Bari on December 6, 2025, renewed the ancient Broad Bean Festival in Provvidenti, the identity ritual of the village in the province of Campobasso. The community gathered around the large pot in the square, fueling the fire in the traditional competition to boil first, and then distributing the cooked broad beans to everyone present; the following morning, the blessed broad beans were offered with bread.
