Patronal Feast of Saint Nicholas

In 2025, the Feast of Saint Nicholas renewed in Lecco the centuries-old tradition of devotion to the patron saint. The celebrations were spread over several days, with the Solemn Holy Mass in the Basilica on December 6th as the central moment.

Around the feast day, the ceremony for the conferment of civic merits with the awarding of the San Nicolò d'Oro, concerts by the Philharmonic and the Choral Academy, the inauguration of the Nativity Scene Exhibition, and the lighting of the Christmas tree took place, marking the beginning of the Christmas season in the center of Lecco.
