Saint Michael the Archangel Feast 2025
From August 9 to 11, 2025, the municipality of Cortino, in the Gran Sasso and Monti della Laga National Park, celebrated its patron saint, Saint Michael the Archangel. The initiatives were concentrated in the Cunetta hamlet (temporary municipal seat), with live music, local food, and the evocative night-time torchlight procession on Mount Bilanciere in memory of the transhumance. The festival, organized by A.P.S. La musica nel cuore, was held with free admission and was open to all citizens and tourists.
