Edition 2025 — Saint Luke Feast

On October 18, 2025, Motta d'Affermo celebrated the patronal feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist. As per tradition, the day combined religious moments—the procession of the saint's statue through the historic center, solemn masses, and the veneration of the relic—with popular festivities. The small Nebrodi village, in the province of Messina, gathered around its protector in an event deeply felt by the community.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Luke the Evangelist took place on Saturday, October 18th, in Motta d'Affermo, in the Nebrodi region in the province of Messina.

The patronal feast saw the community gather around its patron saint with the procession of the statue along the village streets, accompanied by the faithful, and with liturgical celebrations in the village church. Alongside the religious rites, there was no shortage of moments of conviviality and tradition that animate this corner of Tyrrhenian Sicily every year.
