Edition 2025 — Saint John the Baptist Villa San Giovanni

From August 16 to 18, 2025, Villa San Giovanni in Tuscia celebrated its patron saint, John the Baptist, in a special edition dedicated to the 80th anniversary of its regained municipal autonomy (decree of August 2, 1945). Alongside the solemn mass and procession, there was a historical exhibition curated by Francesco di Gregorio in the school's blue room and the 26th Sagra della Pezzata in Piazza Maggiore, featuring concerts, flag-wavers, a raffle, and fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast took place from August 16 to 18, coinciding with the third Sunday of the month, and held special significance: the community commemorated the 80 years of regained municipal autonomy, obtained with the decree of August 2, 1945, after seventeen years of annexation to Blera. In the blue room of the school building, a historical exhibition of photographs and documents curated by Francesco di Gregorio was set up, promoted by the municipal administration with the Pratichiamo Villa association and the Province of Viterbo, inaugurated on Friday, August 15 at 5:00 PM and open during the days of the feast.

The religious celebrations — solemn mass and procession of the patron saint with brass bands — were accompanied by the XXVI Sagra della Pezzata ed arrosticini di pecora, organized by the APS Pratichiamo Villa in Piazza Maggiore: Saturday, August 16, funfair for children from 4:00 PM, food stalls from 7:30 PM, and a concert by the tribute band Rockom (homage to Vasco Rossi) at 9:30 PM; Sunday, August 17, performance by the flag-wavers of Narni in Piazza Savoia at 6:00 PM, dinner at 7:30 PM, the Notte della Taranta with the Zeketam in concert at 9:30 PM, raffle drawing at 11:00 PM, and a concluding fireworks display at 11:30 PM.
