Edition 2025 — Saint John in Monterosso
In 2025, Monterosso al Mare once again celebrated its most important festival, dedicated to the patron saint Saint John the Baptist on June 24th. After the three-day preparation, the eve lit the traditional Saint John's Bonfire on the beach, linked to the summer solstice fires.
On the feast day, the procession with the La Monterossina Band paraded through the village, followed in the evening by the evocative candles on the sea and the fireworks display launched from the Fishermen's Pier, which illuminated the gulf of the Cinque Terre, concluding one of the most enchanting patronal feasts on the Riviera di Levante.

June 21-23, 2025
- Three-day preparation with prayer and evening mass; eve of the 23rd with concert and Saint John's Bonfire on the beach
June 24, 2025
- Solemn mass; children's games in Piazza Belvedere; procession with the La Monterossina Band; candles on the sea and fireworks display from the Fishermen's Pier
