Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint John the Baptist

In 2025, Celenza Valfortore once again honored its patron saint, Saint John the Baptist, on June 24th. On the day of the Baptist's Nativity, the Daunian Sub-Apennine village gathered around the procession of the saint's wooden bust, amidst religious celebrations, brass band music, illuminations, and traditional evening fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist took place on June 24th in Celenza Valfortore, confirming it as the most important appointment in the local calendar. Liturgical celebrations in the Church of Santa Croce preceded the procession of the patron's 18th-century wooden bust along the stone alleys of the historic center, accompanied by the brass band and the participation of the entire community.

Surrounding the religious rite, the village experienced its popular festival: illuminations along the streets, band concerts, stalls with typical local products, and traditional fireworks displays to conclude the day. As every year, the feast also drew many emigrant families back to the village, renewing the communal dimension that makes this occasion the most vibrant moment of the year for Celenza Valfortore.
