Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist

The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Saint John the Baptist took place on June 24, 2025, in Castelluccio Valmaggiore, in the province of Foggia. As every year, the festivities combined the religious dimension with the popular one: the preparatory novena in the Mother Church, the Eucharistic celebrations of the solemn day, and above all the procession of the venerated polychrome statue of the Baptist, carried on the shoulders of the faithful along the streets of the historic center with the accompaniment of the band.

In the evening, secular festivities enlivened Piazza Marconi with music and shows, while the traditional fireworks closed the day, saluting the saint's return to the church. A feast deeply rooted in the identity of this small Daunian village.
