Patronal Feast of Saint George the Martyr

The Patronal Feast of Saint George the Martyr has always been the most important event of the year for Maccastorna, a tiny municipality in the Lodi area, province of Lodi. In 2025, the village once again came together around its patron saint, intertwining religious celebrations with moments of festivity and conviviality. The gastronomic stand dedicated to the frog festival, a specialty of the Lower Lombardy peasant tradition, was a must. A genuine and identity-affirming event that, year after year, renews the sense of community in one of Lombardy's smallest villages.
