Edition 2025 — Chieuti Carrese
2025 Edition
The 2025 Carrese of Chieuti reached its climax on Wednesday, April 23, the day of the patron saint Saint George the Martyr. The four chariots competed: Collefinocchio San Vito, Collefinocchio Vaccareccia, Cittadella, and Giovanissimi. After the dawn Eucharistic Celebration for drivers and riders and the 11:00 AM draw, the chariots faced off along the four-kilometer course.
The Giovanissimi chariot, the 'biancocelesti', triumphed after changing pace following the stretch known as Tuppetto, overtaking the Cittadella. The winning drivers, Domenico Pecorelli and Raffaello Ianziti, had the honor of carrying the effigy of Saint George in the procession of the municipality of Chieuti, in the province of Foggia.
