The patronal feast in 2025

In 2025, Cicerale, in the province of Salerno, celebrated Saint George the Martyr on its two traditional dates. On April 23rd, the village experienced the liturgical recurrence, the one with the oldest devotional meaning, with a solemn mass in the 17th-century parish church and a procession of the patron saint's statue through the village streets.

The return of emigrants in August

On August 19th, the second appointment of the year was repeated, created to allow Cicerale natives living far away to participate in their saint's feast. On both occasions, the procession was accompanied by the sound of a brass band and the hymns of the faithful, while on the eve, the small fair that has always accompanied the religious part of the recurrence took place, a memory of the ancient days of exchange and meeting for the entire community of the inland Cilento.
