Edition 2025 — Saint Eustace in Scanno
The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Eustace took place in Scanno on September 20th, confirming the strong roots of the devotion to the patron saint within the Sagittario Valley community. In the preceding days, the bells of the village churches rang in unison to announce the festival, following an ancient and evocative rite.
The central moment was the procession of the wooden statue of Saint Eustace, an 18th-century work by Giovanni Leonardo Manzoli, carried on the shoulders of the faithful along the cobbled alleys of the historic center. The day combined a solemn mass, community prayer, music, and a fireworks display, in a festival that continues to preserve the memory of ancient pastoral traditions and the Scanno transhumance.
