Edition 2025 — Feast of Saint Defendente

In September 2025, Romano di Lombardia celebrated its patron saint Saint Defendente with the usual week of festivities: masses in the Church of Saint Defendente, an evening procession with the civic band towards Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, neighbourhood dinners, games, music, and fireworks.

The 2025 edition of the Feast of Saint Defendente renewed the patronal tradition of Romano di Lombardia. For a week, masses in honour of the patron saint accompanied the town's devotion, culminating in the evening procession with the saint's statue towards Piazza Papa Giovanni XXIII, escorted by the Civic Musical Corps.

The popular dimension was expressed through neighbourhood dinners, games, tombola, and fireworks, confirming a tradition that has been uninterrupted since 1925.
