Patronal Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle

The 2025 edition

The 2025 patronal feast of San Bartolomeo in Galdo was placed at the center of a particularly dense summer, presented by the administration led by Mayor Carmine Agostinelli as "a shared idea of beauty, identity, and future." Around the solemnity of August 24th, celebrations took place in the Mother Church, including the novena and the procession of the statue with confraternities and the brass band.

Square, music, and flavors

The Sanbartolomeana Summer 2025 program had already marked the month with the SbiG Cherry Tomato Festival and the Rocky Marciano Festival and the 5th Rocky Marciano Award on August 16th and 17th, accompanied by the inauguration of the "Homage to Rocky Marciano" monument. During the patronal week, concerts, dance evenings, cabaret, outdoor cinema, theater, tournaments, and workshops for children were added, along with festivals showcasing typical Fortore products.

The closing

On August 26th, Francesco Cicchella brought his show of music and comedy to the town, one of the most followed events of the summer. As per tradition, the drawing of the Sanbartolomeana Lottery and the fireworks display symbolically closed the patronal feast and the entire Sanbartolomeana summer season.
