Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua

The 2025 festival

The patronal feast of Zollino opened with a solemn Eucharistic celebration and the procession of the statue of Saint Anthony of Padua through the village streets, accompanied by marches performed by the bands. In the evenings, the squares came alive with marching bands from Squinzano and Racale and the traditional folk music of the Grecìa Salentina.

On the morning of August 23, the ritual of the handing over of the town keys from the mayor to the patron saint was renewed, a symbolic moment deeply felt by the community. The festivities concluded with colorful fireworks, cheered by residents and visitors who arrived from all over the Salento.

Saturday, August 22

• Solemn Eucharistic celebration in the Mother Church
• Procession of the statue of Saint Anthony of Padua through the historic center, accompanied by bands
