Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony 2025 in Melissano

The 2025 Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua was held in Melissano, in the lower Salento area of Lecce, during the weekend of the first Sunday of September, with the main events on Sunday, September 7th and Monday, September 8th, 2025. The program followed the traditional structure of the feast: the procession with the bust and statue of the saint through the streets of the center, accompanied by the clergy, the faithful, and brass bands.

The town streets were illuminated with monumental light displays, while the square hosted brass band concerts in the bandstand and evenings of folk music, with pizzica setting the rhythm of the party. On Sunday and Monday, the usual street market was set up, with stalls selling local products, sweets, and handicrafts. To conclude the festivities, as per tradition, a grand fireworks display lit up the Salento sky. The organization was managed by the Patronal Feast Committee of Saint Anthony of Padua.
