Patronal Feast of Saint Anthony of Padua

The 2025 grand feast

On August 12th and 13th, 2025, Fragagnano celebrated its patron saint with the traditional August feast. On the first day, after the evening holy mass celebrated by Father Graziano Lupoli, the square hosted a concert by the band Nine Beat. On August 13th, the day opened at dawn with the firing of thirteen honorary shots and the morning mass with the blessing and distribution of Saint Anthony's Bread, followed by the brass bands' parade through the town streets.

In the evening, the solemn mass in Piazza Regina Elena, featuring the ceremony of entrusting the town's keys to the saint, preceded the procession with confraternities and civil and religious authorities. The statue remained on display in the square until 10:00 PM, accompanied by concerts from the "Città di Rutigliano" and "Città di Fragagnano" bands. At midnight, the fireworks display by the Maxima Fireworks company from Bitonto concluded the feast.
