Edition 2025 — Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast was held on Friday, December 12, at the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Saint Philip the Martyr, at Via Aurelia 675 in Rome. In the afternoon, the parish community welcomed the pastoral visit of Cardinal Vicar Baldo Reina, who presided over the solemn mass in the evening for the solemnity of the patroness of Mexico and Latin America.

2025 Edition: The visit of the Cardinal Vicar

On Friday, December 12, 2025, the basilica in the Aurelio district experienced a particularly significant patronal feast. In the afternoon, Cardinal Vicar Baldo Reina met with the parish community entrusted to the Legionaries of Christ, learning firsthand about the pastoral activities of Mexico's national church in Rome: catechesis, family programs, youth ministry, and charitable volunteering.

In the evening, the cardinal presided over the solemn mass of Our Lady of Guadalupe before a basilica packed with Mexican, Latin American, and Roman faithful. In his homily, he invited everyone to entrust their own anxieties and worries to the maternal presence of Mary, reminding them that the Virgin «asks for nothing, she simply asks that we acknowledge her presence».
