The 2025 Assumption in Pachino

On August 15, 2025, the community of Pachino (Syracuse) gathered around its patron saint, Maria SS. Assunta in Cielo, with the traditional day of celebration: from the ringing and cannon shots of the morning to the Solemn Mass at the Mother Church of the SS. Crocifisso, up to the well-attended evening procession of the statue accompanied by the town band.

The Assumption festivities were part of a summer full of events in Pachino and nearby Marzamemi, including traveling theater shows, fashion shows, concerts, and folk dances. The highlight of the civil festivities was the concert by Orietta Berti, while the summer calendar closed at the end of August with a tribute to the Pooh. A season built, as underlined by the municipal administration, thanks to regional funding and the support of local entities.
