Edition 2025 — Patronal Feast of Brindisi
The 2025 edition of the Patronal Feast of Brindisi was held from August 30th to September 8th, opening on August 30th with the procession of the relics and the statue of Saint Lawrence from the Sanctuary of Santa Maria degli Angeli to the Cathedral Basilica. On September 5th, the lighting of the impressive artistic illuminations, with over three hundred thousand LED lights along Corso Garibaldi and Viale Regina Margherita, marked the official opening of the festivities, accompanied by the historic Palio dell'Arca in the waters of the inner harbor.
September 6th was the most anticipated day, with the solemn sea procession: the relics and statues of the patrons set sail from the tourist harbor to land at the Scalinata Virgilio, while in the evening the sky above the waterfront lit up with the firework show. On September 7th, in Piazza Duomo, the solemn Pontifical Mass was presided over by Archbishop Mons. Giovanni Intini. The festivities concluded on September 8th with the final processions. The event, organized by the Municipality of Brindisi with the Archdiocese of Brindisi-Ostuni, brought the entire historic center of the Apulian city to life.
