Patronal Feast in Honor of the Madonna dell'Uragano

The religious aspect

The 2025 feast opened with the solemn novena at the Mother Church from August 6th to 14th. On August 14th, the Night of Graces took place, featuring an evening pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Belvedere. On August 17th, the day of the anniversary, the statue of the Madonna was moved to the Chiesa Nuova; in the afternoon, the solemn Eucharistic concelebration was presided over by Archbishop Giovanni Intini, with the traditional symbolic handing over of the city keys by the mayor. This was followed by the solemn procession through the streets of the center, accompanied by the band and concluded with fireworks.

The civic aspect

Evenings in Piazza Municipio featured brass band concerts and, to close the festivities, the grand free concert by Paolo Belli and his Big Band, which was highly acclaimed by the audience that filled the center of Carovigno.
