The 2025 Maria SS. Preziosa Feast

The 2025 edition of the patronal feast of Casal di Principe renewed a centuries-old tradition, that of the cult of Maria Santissima Preziosa, affectionately called 'Madonna zingarella' by the locals. As every year, the festivities were centered around September 8th, the day of the Nativity of the Virgin, with the solemn procession accompanying the sacred image between the parish of Maria SS. Preziosa and the mother church of SS. Salvatore.

Alongside the moments of devotion, the community experienced days of celebration in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele, the ancient Piazza Mercato, animated by traditional illuminations and evening musical performances. The festival, one of the most cherished events in the Agro Aversano, confirmed the strong bond between Casal di Principe and its patron saint, in a blend of faith, tradition, and sociality typical of Southern Italian festivals.
