The 2025 patronal feast of Gissi
In 2025, the community of Gissi celebrated its patron saints on May 19th and 20th. The first day, dedicated to San Nicola, opened at 6:30 PM with Holy Mass in the church of Santa Maria Assunta and the solemn procession, followed at 9:30 PM by a comedy show by Santino Caravella in the square.
May 20th, the solemnity of San Bernardino da Siena, the town's titular patron, featured morning Mass, evening Mass with a solemn procession, and, in closing, a concert by the band Clan Destino in Piazza Alcide De Gasperi and the traditional fireworks. The 2025 edition also featured the characteristic Gissi traditions linked to the conche and popular devotion.
