Edition 2025 — Cococciata Festival

In July 2025, Paterno, a hamlet of Avezzano, renewed its appointment with the Cococciata Festival in Piazza Garibaldi. The Pro Loco Paterno APS offered tastings of the traditional zucchini focaccia, along with fried zucchini, local products, and regional wines, during an evening enlivened by live music and group dances typical of Marsican festivals.

Cococciata Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Cococciata Festival took place in July in Piazza Garibaldi, in Paterno di Avezzano (AQ), confirming the success of one of the most heartfelt festivals in the Marsica region. Organized by the Pro Loco Paterno APS, the event featured the cococciata, the unleavened focaccia made with thinly sliced zucchini, along with fried zucchini, sandwiches, desserts, and Fucino wines.

The evening, which began in the evening hours, saw the square fill with residents, families, and visitors attracted by the live music, group dances, and the convivial atmosphere that characterizes Abruzzese village festivals.
