Pasta con le Sarde Festival and Feast of Saint Joseph

The 2025 edition

The festivities for Saint Joseph in Caltabellotta opened on March 18, 2025, with the setup of altars dedicated to the Saint, religious services, and the presentation of the altars depicting the Seven Joys and Seven Sorrows, organized by the Roncalli Institute and local confraternities.

On March 19, the day of the feast, after solemn masses, the procession with the statue of the Saint took place: the parade departed from the Church of the Carmine, crossing the Randa, Pietra, Putieddi, San Paolo, and Via Fontanelle districts, before returning to the starting church. Upon return, Pasta con le Sarde was distributed, with small tastings of typical Caltabellotta recipes prepared by chefs from the Sciacca delegation of the FIC (Italian Federation of Chefs). The celebrations continued in the following days with events at the parish.
