Edition 2025 — Pecorara Festival

The 2025 edition of the Pasta alla Pecorara Festival took place on August 4 in Castelvecchio Subequo. In the historic center of the village, in the Subequana Valley, food stalls offered handmade anellini alla pecorara, ring-shaped pasta dressed with tomato sauce, vegetables, and sheep's milk ricotta, accompanied by local products and Abruzzo wines.

Pasta alla Pecorara Festival 2025

The Pasta alla Pecorara Festival returned to Castelvecchio Subequo on August 4, 2025, enlivening the historic center of the Subequana Valley village. The undisputed stars were the anellini alla pecorara, handmade pasta shaped like small rings dressed with tomato sauce, seasonal vegetables, and sheep's milk ricotta, served at the food stalls alongside local cured meats, cheeses, and Abruzzo wines.

The evening was accompanied by folk music, folk groups, and traditional dancing in the square, with artisan stalls and entertainment for children. An event that confirmed the festival as one of the most cherished summer celebrations in Castelvecchio Subequo, in the province of L'Aquila.
