The 53rd edition

In 2025, the Passion of Jesus Christ of Lizzano returned to the stage on Sunday, April 13, Palm Sunday, from 5:00 PM. Organized by the Pietre Vive Association with the patronage of the Municipality of Lizzano, the 53rd edition re-proposed the well-established structure of eighteen itinerant scenes, from the entry into Jerusalem to the Resurrection.

In this edition too, the strength of the show came from the choral participation of the community: about 150 volunteer actors of all ages, sets and costumes curated by local volunteers, and an audience that followed the dramatic procession along the streets of the center, confirming the Passion as one of the most heartfelt events of Holy Week in the Taranto area.
